So many of us know the moment when a love connection is over, but few of us stop then. I am not talking about reactive endings. I am talking about the deep intuitive knowing that it is time to move on. Yet we are either too afraid, or too stubborn, or too concerned about the other’s feelings to make our move. But it is perilous to delay, both because we suffer in the wrong connection, and because we hold two souls back from finding the next step on their individual paths. Whether there is another love waiting around the next corner, or whether it is simply time to be alone, no one benefits by staying in an outgrown union. We have to notice the moment of ending and take it to heart. Everyone’s expansion depends on it.

I know it’s been a long time since I’ve posted up an ask for a fundraising campaign yet here I am again. To be honest, this is still a difficult process for me to ask for help but I’m learning I already have the no, so I gotta fight for the yes and if I want help, I have to speak and ask for support. The urgency of launching this campaign is very real because as you’ll find out in the description of the fundraiser – my surgery date is on May 30th and I need all my funds by May 16th. Rainstorms and Rainbows (3/26/14)

Life isn’t a series of rainbows and sunshine. There’s moments of darkness and rainstorms. But what isn’t the moment of light is not the complete downfall of being. Even when you’ve been walking on sunshine this whole way here and suddenly a rain cloud casts itself over you, it’ll shine again.

I know from personal experience how hard it is to meet a challenge after it seems the path has been so easy. To think I’ve got this! But something slips and I gotta fight to pick it back up again. I’m not gonna say that process won’t be hard. I’m not gonna say that it won’t fuck with how you see yourself. I’m not gonna say it’s not gonna take some dedication and time to get a hold of everything again. I will say that you will regain your grasp on what you feel you’ve dropped. You will. We will.

But you, we all, gotta realize when those moments come that it’s our responsibility to do something about their presence. In our own time, through our own will, through our process, we will shift the clouds and bring back the sun. Just know the rain is there to cleanse what we first thought would be easy (thus we took the process for granted) and show us that without struggle we wouldn’t appreciate the results we want as much.

Those moments of darkness and rainstorms are a reminder. Keep the struggle in mind cuz the struggle hasn’t forgotten about you and will come in your life at any moment. Keep fighting to keep grasp and walking your path. At the end of every rainstorm comes a rainbow.

Which means, you gotta define what success looks like in your life. What would make you feel successful?

For example, my success includes (but not limited to) love, happiness, family, affirmation, stability, support, growth, social justice, and leadership. With all of these entities in my life, success is bound to generate. I see success not as a destination but a journey. As I walk the path, I generate more and more success for myself. I will not arrive at success but I will travel along success and prosper. And as I walk this path, those who give the same vibrations will walk with me and we will together contribute to increasing the success we will build for ourselves.

Once you figure out your success, then surround yourself with the people who give off those same vibrations and watch your effort to achieve your success improve significantly.
